I
bought a new car, am I covered? |
| |
Yes, you are covered with the same coverage
as the most fully covered car on your policy. You must report
the new car within 14 days to maintain the coverage. If you don't
have a car with comprehensive or collision you must call immediately
to get coverage. |
 |
Am
I covered if I rent a car or do I need to buy the insurance from
the rental company? |
| |
Yes, you are covered. Generally you are
covered just as if it were your own car. Pak II policyholders
have additional coverages. Please call for details. |
 |
My
child just got his/her license, can he/she drive? |
| |
We don't know if he/she can drive, but
he/she may drive. He/she is automatically covered. However, you
need to call us with his/her drivers license number as soon as
possible. |
 |
If
I lend my car to someone am I covered? |
| |
Yes. Anyone you give permission to use
your car is covered. |
 |
Does
my rental car coverage pay to rent a car when my car is in the
shop? |
| |
Only if the car is in the shop as a result
of a covered loss. |
 |
Does
my homeowner's policy cover a burst pipe? |
| |
Yes and No. The damage caused by the
water is covered. The cost to open and close up the wall to repair
the pipe is covered. The actual repair of the pipe is not covered.
This is considered wear and tear. |
 |
Is
flood covered on my homeowner's policy? |
| |
No. Surface water, or water which seeps
or leaks in is not covered. This could possibly be covered under
a separate flood policy if you have one. Sump pump failure or
sewer backup may be covered depending on your policy. |
 |
How
can I lower my premium? |
| |
Increasing deductibles will always decrease
your premium. We recommend carrying as high of a deductible as
possible and self insuring small losses. Call us to discuss other
ideas. |
 |
My
child just got his/her learners permit, do I have to add him/her
to the policy? |
| |
No. He/she is covered automatically and
only need to be added when he/she gets their license. |
 |
Is
my laptop computer covered if it is stolen? |
| |
It may be. If it is ever used for business
purposes though there is very limited coverage, especially outside
of your house. Call us to discuss how to cover this. |
